Saudi Arabia has officially announced on Sunday that one of its soldiers has been killed in the southern region of Saudi Arabia, as the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Sergeant Abdul Karim Naji was killed in confrontations with the Yemeni army on the southern border.

Since March 26, 2015, Saudi Arabia has been leading a war against Yemen, which has led to the death and injury of hundreds of thousands of civilians, as well as deteriorating humanitarian conditions, causing outbreaks of disease and epidemics, especially cholera, and a decline in the volume of cash reserves of Yemen.

The total of Saudi casualties is hard to estimate, primarily because of Riyadh’s reliance on foreign mercenaries and general media silence on the number of fallen Saudi soldiers.
