A local mediation committee in Shabwa accused the governor affiliated with Islah with refusing to release the Transitional prisoners from the people of the province.
Committee member Ahmed Omar Al-Marqashi said in a press statement that Muhammad bin Adiyo refused to respond to the committee regarding the release of the detainees in August events that exploded between the STC and Hadi government and ended with the Hadis’ control.
The committee held the responsibility of the prisoners ’lives and fate to the governor affiliated with Islah confirming its solidarity with their families and relatives.
These accusations come at a time when activists have reported that the prisoners of Transitional Council have been subjected to torture in Islah prisons in Shabwa.
