The National Salvation Government’s spokesman, Minister of Information Dhaifallah al-Shami, on Friday strongly condemned the US crime of targeting the Quds Force’s Commander General Qassem Soleimani, and Deputy Head of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Force Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis in Baghdad.
The government spokesman called for unity in the row in the face of the forces of global arrogance, especially America and the Zionist entity, which target everyone who stands alongside the just causes of the nation, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause.
Al-Shami confirmed that this crime reveals the American-Israeli connection with ISIS and Al-Qaeda, which Soleimani and al-Muhandis had a major role in defeating them in Iraq and Syria.
Al-Shami stressed Iraq’s legitimate right to respond to this treacherous criminal targeting.
He praised the position of Soleimani in supporting the resistance in Palestine, Syria and Iraq.
The government spokesman expressed the Salvation Government’s condolences to both Iranian and Iraqi governments and peoples for the martyrdom of Soleimani, al-Muhadis, and their companions.
