Member of the Supreme Political Council Mohammed Ali al-Houthi on Monday opened at Sanaa Gallery for Fine Arts an exhibition titled “Yemeni Fine Art in the Face of Aggression”, organized by the Fine Arts Sector at the Ministry of Culture.
At the opening, al-Houthi praised the level of the exhibition and the nature of the participating works, which indicated to the awareness of Yemeni artists about the injustice suffered by the Yemeni people.
“We, as a civilized people, can bet on our intellectuals and artists in conveying Yemenis’ grievance to the world through all forms of expression, whether through art, theater, poetry, chant, or Zamil, and various other forms of expression,” he said.
The Yemeni people are distinguished by a great heritage and a cultural diversity that is reliable in confronting the aggression, he added.
