The Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the United States snaky and cowardly attack on Major General Qassem Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the second-in-command of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU).
The ministry confirmed that what the US committed against these two great leaders is a great adventure that will worsen the tense situation in the region.
“The cowardly assassination of Soleimani and Al-Muhandis amounts to the most threatening acts of international peace and security,” it said in a statement.
“It clearly reveals the US hatred toward everyone sided with the just causes of the oppressed Islamic nation, it also reveals an applied ignorance about the consequences of targeting two great leaders, ” the statement reads.
The Foreign Ministry expressed the condolences of the Republic of Yemen to the families of the two great martyrs and their fellow martyrs.
It also expresses its complete sympathy and solidarity with the brotherly Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran, wishing the wounded a speedy recovery.
