Ministry of Health: Yemen is free from suspected cases of coronavirus

The Yemen’s ministry of health and population on Sunday night announced that there is no suspected cases of coronavirus in Yemen.

“Yemen is completely free of the Corona virus and no suspected cases have been registered so far,” Dr. Abdulhakim al-Kohlani, spokesman for the technical committee to control Corona epidemic, said in a statement.

The committee works around the clock in coordination with the joint operations room formed from the relevant government agencies to follow up cases of passengers arriving to Yemen through land and air ports, Dr. al-Kohlani added.

The spokesman indicated that 186 Yemeni citizens have arrived from China, and it was confirmed that they are not infected with the virus after observing their health status for 14 days according to the procedures followed globally.
