Yemeni armed forces on Sunday unveiled four new air defence systems, named Thaqib-1, Thaqib-2, Thaqib-3 and Fatir-1, which were developed with purely Yemeni expertise.
During the inauguration of the Martyr Abdulaziz Muharram Exhibition for Air Defences, president of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat stressed that” these systems will change the course of the battle with the US-backed Saudi-led Saudi aggression and will provide a start to more sophisticated and effective defense systems in countering enemy air targets.”
For his part, The Yemeni Defense Minister, Mohammed al-Attifi declared that the air space of Yemen would be forbidden to US-backed Saudi-led aggression coalition’s fighter jets.
The military media released video footage showing the new air defence systems, named Thaqib-1, Thaqib-2, Thaqib-3 and Fatir-1.
