Unidentified gunmen assassinated at midnight Wednesday a soldier close to the director of security for the Lahij governorate, Saleh Al-Sayyid.
Local sources said that unknown gunmen assassinated the soldier, Mustafa Al-Hadi, the bodyguard of the security director, Lahj Saleh Al-Sayyid, in front of the Al-Basha Hotel, on the Al-Karaa tour in Dar Sa’ad in Aden.
Surveillance cameras of a commercial store in the area monitored the assassination.
The footage showed the soldier, “Al-Hadi”, sitting on the sidewalk in the middle of the street, when a small car stopped near him and shot him at 11:56 pm.
A fugitive escaped, the victim was instantly dead, and his dead body was later transferred to the Friendship Hospital.
