The head of the National Prisoners’ Affairs Committee, Abdul Qadir Al-Murtada, confirmed the readiness of the committee to implement the recently agreed swap deal in Jordan’s capital, Amman.

“In the interest of the safety of the prisoners from the seriousness of the coronavirus outbreak, the Prisoners Affairs Committee confirms its readiness to implement the recently agreed swap deal in Amman,” Al-Murtada wrote in a post published on his Twitter page on Sunday.

He stressed that the delay in this deal comes because of the aggression party’s refusal to sign the implementation plan submitted by the United Nations and the Red Cross, which we signed two weeks ago.
