Minister of Water and Environment Nabil al-Wazir on Tuesday met with Deputy Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) delegation in Yemen David Gunschman, and discussed ways to expand areas of joint cooperation.
The meeting reviewed the efforts made by the Ministry of Water and Environment to ensure the continuation of providing water services in light of the conditions the country is going through, and the need to support these efforts by donors and organizations.
In the meeting, Al-Wazir called on the ICRC delegation to expand its activities and interventions in all provinces and support the ministry’s efforts to complete the requirements of prisons in the provinces in the water and sanitation aspect.
He confirmed the ministry’s keenness to provide all facilities to the ICRC to achieve common goals in facilitating citizens’ access to services.
For his part, Gunschman appreciated the positive cooperation shown by the Ministry of Water, which encourages the expansion of water activities and interventions.
