Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation Celebrates World Maritime Day 2020

Yemen’s Red Sea Ports Corporation has celebrated the World Maritime Day’s occasion coinciding with the passage of 2,000 of the aggression and the continuation of steadfastness in the face of aggression.

In the speech event held on this occasion, on Sunday, Hodeidah deputy governor Abduljabbar Mohammed praised the pioneering role played by the YRSPC despite the direct and systematic targeting it was subjected to by the Aggression Coalition.

Mohammed emphasized that the direct targeting of the aggression targets the national economy as well on which more than twenty million citizens depend.

He deplored the silence of the United Nations and the international community, which remained unable to implement agreements on maritime transport, and put an end to the direct targeting of aggression forces that affected the infrastructure of the Corporation.

The deputy governor pointed out that 2,000  days of the aggression formed a steadfastness front for the Yemeni people of all different classes who thwarted the plans the aggression’s plans and its plots.

After each hostile operation by the Aggression coalition, the Corporation and its employees were able to continue providing their services and performing the tasks and responsibilities assigned to them, he added.

“World Maritime Day focuses on the importance of shipping safety, maritime security and the marine environment and to emphasize a particular aspect of IMO’s work. … World Maritime Day is celebrated in many countries worldwide”.
