Army spokesman: Saudi-led aggression requests release of 70 al-Qaeda elements

Yemen’s Armed Forces spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e has on Friday confirmed that enemy’s prisoners were mostly captured on the front lines, but 70 of them are al-Qaeda individuals, in addition to those involved in sending coordinates and killing civilians.

Brigadier General Saree told Almasirah, that the enemy demanded release of prisoners from Al-Qaeda organization, who have major crimes.

He explained that our morals and religion dictate that we treat the prisoners with respect and honor, but many of our prisoners were killed in the enemy’s prisons.

Sare’e revealed that many of the released prisoners came back with signs of torture, even some of them were tortured days before they were released. He added, “We honor the prisoners, protect them from air strikes, transport them to safe places, and allow them to communicate with their families.”

 

It is noteworthy that the 5th and 6th planes arrived on Friday at Sana’a International Airport, carrying two batches of released prisoners.
