The Ministry of Human Rights condemned on Monday the kidnapping of 7 displaced women in Marib province by armed groups affiliated with the countries of the aggression coalition.
In a statement, the Ministry considered the kidnapping of women an act of terrorism and a disgrace on the face of the countries of the aggression and their mercenaries.
The statement denounced the vulgar acts that the aggression countries and their mercenaries used to practice without any kind of humane values and religion and conscience.
It noted that this crime reflects the level of degradation reached by the forces of aggression and their mercenaries.
The statement affirmed that kidnapping women from among their families by force and transporting them to an unknown place is considered a ”black shame” according to the tribal custom that deserves the most severe punishment.
It pointed out that this behavior is inconsistent with all human values, principles and norms, and international laws.
It held the Security and Human Rights Councils responsible for the terrorist and immoral acts that Yemeni women are exposed to and for the crimes and grave violations that the Yemeni people are subjected to by the countries of the aggression over a period of six years.
The statement also held the countries of the aggression coalition, in the forefront of Saudi Arabia and the UAE, the legal and criminal responsibility for all crimes committed by them and their mercenaries against Yemeni women.
It called on Yemeni activists, civil society organizations, the Union of Yemeni Women, the various United Nations organizations and mechanisms, and international organizations working in Yemen to take a firm humanitarian stance to implement the rules and provisions of international law and protect Yemeni women and girls from the violations and crimes committed by the aggression.
The statement expressed its deep concern about the kidnapping of women and taking them to an unknown location.
It called on the Yemeni people, in general, and the people of Marib province, in particular, to take effective public action for the sake of the release of all the women who were kidnapped.
The statement also noted that the crime of kidnapping Samira Maresh more than two years ago represents a living witness to the ugliness of the criminal acts practiced by the aggression and its mercenaries against the freedom of Yemen in more than one province.
