A meeting for the health sector leaders was held to discuss improving the health service and overcoming the obstacles of the blockade imposed on Yemen. In the meeting, Minister of Health Dr Taha Al-Mutawakel indicated that the blockade of fuel tankers proves that the American statements regarding Yemen are a new cycle of lying and deceiving the world.
He pointed out that the United Nations tampered with about $ 1.7 billion of aid money to Yemen under the pretext of the Corona pandemic, but Yemen did not get any.
Minister Al-Mutawakel called on the United Nations to fulfill its minimum duty by bring fuel tankers for the health sector.
“We have put an emergency plan to manage the fuel needs of hospitals and health facilities, in light of the US-Saudi siege and detaining fuel tankers,” he said.
He added that one million and 200 thousand women suffer from malnutrition, half of them are pregnant. In addition, there are about 600 thousand of premature babies who need nurseries to survive.
For his part, the governor of Dhamar said, “The Yemeni People, have become a source of inspiration for the vulnerable peoples of America and the arrogant countries.”
