The Saudi Ministry of Defense announced the death sentence against 3 soldiers for having committed the “crime of high treason,” according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The Ministry of Defense did not add in its statement any details about the crime committed by the three soldiers, but the statement said that the investigation had resulted in “their conviction of committing the crime of high treason in cooperation with the enemy in a way that violates the Kingdom’s entity and its military interests.”
The statement also stated: “A verdict was issued against them proving they are guilt of murder in accordance with the legal and regulatory requirements. The verification procedures for the verdict were fulfilled, approved, and a royal order was issued to enforce what was decided against them,” according to the statement.
