The White House confirmed the presence of US forces in Yemen and its contribution to providing what it called military information to the Saudi-led coalition that is fighting a war in the country that suffers from a humanitarian crisis.
The White House said that a small number of American forces are in Yemen, justifying this by fighting al-Qaeda and the Islamic State organization.
The White House also acknowledged providing what it called “military advice and limited information” to the Saudi-led coalition for defensive and training purposes.
