The local authority in Hodeidah Governorate condemned the bombing by the US-Saudi aggression with five raids in Al-Salif district and Bajil district, continuing the aggression’s violations of Stockholm agreement.
The local authority said that civilian casualties reported daily due to the violations of the aggression since the signing of the Stockholm Agreement for a cease-fire in Hodeidah.
At the same time, it condemned the negligence of the UN mission regarding these daily violations.
The authority said in a statement issued on Sunday evening: We demand the peace and support team in Hodeidah to play their humanitarian role to end the suffering of the people of the governorate.
It pointed out that the UN mission has not submitted a single briefing since the Stockholm Agreement, making no effort in their mission related to the implementation of the Agreement.
The statement added: Every day, children and women are killed and homes are bombed, and we bring the inspection team to these sites to witness the bombing, but we find no information.
On a daily basis, the Saudi-led aggression violates the UN-backed agreement, reached between the warring sides during a round of UN-sponsored peace negotiations in Sweden in December 2018.
The agreement committed the parties to an immediate ceasefire in the city of Hodeidah and the ports of Hodeidah, Salif and Ras Issa, redeployment of forces, securing the ports, the establishment of the joint Redeployment Coordination Committee chaired by the United Nations, and the use of the revenues of the ports to support civil service salary payments.
The continuous violations by the forces of aggression in Hodeidah come in light of an international silence identifying the aggression and its crimes against the Yemeni people.
