Transport Minister confirms readiness of Hodeidah port to receive ships, goods

The Minister of Transport in the National Salvation Government, Amer Al-Marani, on Wednesday confirmed the readiness of Hodeidah port to receive ships, commercial containers, goods and foodstuffs.

In an expanded meeting of the Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Navigation today in Sanaa, the Minister of Transport indicated to the advantages of the port of Hodeidah and its importance in alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people and providing their basic needs of food.

Al-Marani considered the unjust increase in the price of the customs dollar fee from 250 to 500 riyals by “the mercenaries’ government” in Aden an aggressive scheme to kill and bring down the Yemeni people after their military failure in front of the army and the popular committees.

In turn, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Red Sea Ports Corporation, Captain / Mohammed Ishaq, reiterated the readiness of the Hodeidah port and the Corporation to provide facilities to the private and commercial sector and to simplify the procedures for receiving goods and commodities.
