A soldier was killed and five others from the UAE-backed Transitional Council militia were injured in clashes with gunmen from the Al-Sabiha tribes in Dar Saad district, north of Aden.
Local sources said that the Transitional Council militia raided the neighborhoods of Dar Saad district in order to arrest a number of Al-Sabiha tribesmen.
They added that Al-Sabiha militants spread in residential neighborhoods and were able to repel the STC militia and force them to withdraw without kidnapping any citizen.
The STC had previously raided the Dar Saad district, kidnapped a number of Al-Sabiha’s sons and took them to the Fifth Brigade camp prison in Lahj governorate.
The situation in the district is still tense amid a military deployment from both sides.
