A woman drowned on Friday in ‘Sayyan’ Dam in Sanhan district of Sana’a province, a medical official told Saba.
Fatima Abdulkarim al-Jamili, 20, from Bani Shaddad area in Khawlan district, drowned in the waters of the Sayyan Dam, the official said.
The official warned those who go to those places against swimming and venturing themselves into the dams’ water in order to save their lives from drowning accidents.
The dams’ waters are not prepared for swimming due to the presence of sticky soil that causes drowning, he added.
