Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf called on the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to play its role in seeking funds to provide incentives for workers in the educational field, including teachers and administrators.
Minister Sharaf pointed out in the meeting with UNICEF’s resident representative in Yemen, Philip Doamel, that humanitarian catastrophe created by the US-Saudi coalition was not limited to malnutrition and severe shortages of basic foodstuffs, but included all basic areas of life, including the educational process.
Minister Sharaf again warned of the repercussions of the continued ban on entry to ships loaded with fuel and domestic gas, which led to a near-stopping of a number of hospitals and health centers.
The Foreign Minister indicated that continued closure of Sana’a International Airport only serves the enemies of peace and those who do not want the aggression to stop.Pointing out that the continued closure of the airport led to the death of a large number of patients, including children, who needed treatment abroad.
