Aid organizations directly working in Ma’rib  accused the Hadi governorate in Marib, Sultan al-Arada, of looting large financial allocations provided as grants to improve the conditions of war displaced people.

Local organizations, including “Human” and “Relief” organizations, activists in Marib, confirmed that the Al-Arada office looted financial allocations for the displaced in Al-Wadi district and the city of Ma’rib.

They explained that the looted sums amounted to more than 160,000 US dollars, provided by the International Organization for Migration and UNICEF.

It pointed out that the money was earmarked for the purchase of electric generating stations, solar panels, tents and air conditioners for 12 camps in the valley and the city.

The organizations called on the international bodies active in the fields of humanitarian relief to investigate this looting incident, noting that the camps that were set up at the time did not receive any of the materials for which the money was allocated for their purchase.
