The Prime Minister, Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, on Thursday said that all state institutions are required to pay great attention to the statistical aspect to make optimal use of data in planning for the present and the future.
In the festive event organized by the Central Statistical Organization in cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund on the occasion of World Statistics Day 2021, the Prime Minister indicated that the statistical activity has an exceptional importance, and the world attaches great importance to it.
“We need numbers and data in normal circumstances, as we need them more in abnormal circumstances, as in the situation of aggression and siege facing our people for the seventh year,” Dr. bin Habtoor said.
The correct numbers and information are the most important for any institution, and the correct number is the one that should be proven and used, he added.
The Prime Minister stressed the importance of focusing on this issue in the national strategy for building the modern Yemeni state, and in the future activity of the post-aggression phase.
He commended the professional and administrative staff of the Central Statistical Organization and their experience in dealing with information and data.
