Yemeni Air Defense of the Army and Popular Committees has shot down a US-made combat drone run by the US-Saudi aggression in Marib Governorate, while it was carrying out hostile actions.
“Our air defenses shot down a US-made combat spy plane ScanEagle, while it was carrying out hostile acts in the airspace of Wadi Ubaidah of Marib Governorate,” the Armed Forces spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e said on Thursday morning on his Twitter account.
The Armed Forces spokesman indicated that the operation of shooting down the drone was carried out with an undisclosed missile.
Sare’e affirmed that Yemeni Armed Forces will spare no effort to protect Yemeni airspace as long as the aggression and siege continue.
The ScanEagle drone is the fourth of the same type to be downed within ten days.
