Army Spokesman Revels The Deatails of “Dawn of the Desert” Operation

A spokesman for the Sana’a forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, revealed, on Wednesday, the details of its extensive operation in Al-Jawf Governorate, which it called “Dawn of the Desert.”

Brigadier General Yahya Saree said that one of the results of the large-scale operation was the control of a total area estimated at 1,200 km2.

Brigadier Saree confirmed that the coalition aircraft launched more than 60 raids in an attempt to impede the progress of Sana’a forces, but they failed to do so.

He pointed out that the large-scale operation resulted in the killing of 35 paid fighters, the wounding of 37, in addition to 45 prisoners, the destruction and burning of 15 military vehicles, and the seizing of large quantities of medium and light weapons.

The spokesman for the Sanaa forces indicated that the missile force and the air force participated in controlling the Al-Yatama area, along with the units in operations against military targets of the coalition in Yemen and abroad.

“During the operation, air defense units managed to shoot down an American-made Scan Eagle” he added.
