Protest in Sana’a Condemning Continued Detention of Fuel Ships

The Administrative Board of the Union of Workers and Employees of the Works and Roads Office and its branches in Sana’a condemned the continued detention of fuel ships by the US-led aggression coalition and preventing them from reaching the port of Hodeidah.

A statement issued by the protest, organized by the authority on Monday in cooperation with the Yemen Petroleum Company, in front of the United Nations office in Sana’a, confirmed that the continued detention of fuel ships will lead to the suspension of more than 127 equipment, between heavy and light. These equipment are distributed over incision works, lighting, repairs, equipment, technical inspection, waste removal and emergency work. .

The statement denounced the shameful international silence that confirms the involvement of the United Nations and the Security Council in the crimes that the coalition of aggression committed and continues to commit against the Yemeni people.

It called on the United Nations to play its role and expedite the necessary measures that would allow oil ships to enter the port of Hodeidah. It holds the international community and humanitarian and international organizations fully responsible for the consequences of seizing oil derivatives ships.

A statement issued by the Petroleum Company denounced the shameful UN silence towards the abusive practices of the US-Saudi aggression and maritime piracy on fuel ships.

It considered the continued detention of fuel ships a flagrant violation of international and humanitarian charters and norms. It holds the United Nations, the international community and humanitarian organizations responsible for the continued suffering of the Yemeni people as a result of the aggression and siege.

The statement demanded the release of all detained oil ships and work to neutralize the Petroleum Company and its facilities, stations and agents’ stations from the systematic targeting of the coalition of aggression and to lift the ban on Sana’a International Airport and Ras Issa port.
