The Yemeni air defences on Friday night shot down a spy drone belonging to Saudi-led coalition in Marib province, Yemeni army spokesman said in a statement.
According to the Army spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e, the Yemeni air defenses managed to shoot down a US-made ScanEagle reconnaissance drone, while it was carrying out hostilities a while ago in the airspace of the Sirwah district of the Marib province.
The plane was shot down with a suitable weapon, he added.
