The Minister of Information in the National Salvation Government confirmed on Monday that the seized Emirati ship was carrying armored vehicles and transport vehicles for soldiers.
Daif Allah Al-Shami stressed that “the UAE has started a new strategy against the Yemeni people after the visit of the Israeli Prime Minister.”
“There are scales that will change the course of the battle. The seizure of the Emirati ship is only a prelude to something greater,” he added.
Earlier on the day, the Yemeni Armed Forces announced the seizure of an Emirati military cargo ship, carrying military equipment, which entered Yemeni waters without any license. The ship was performing hostile activities, threatening the security and stability of Yemen.
The Yemeni Armed Forces revealed the details of the Emirati military cargo ship and showed pictures and videos of the ship.
“For the first time, the navy succeeded in carrying out a qualitative military operation targeting a military cargo ship while it was carrying out hostile activities at Yemen’s sea,” the Armed Forces spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e, said during a press conference on Monday.
Sare’e stressed that the hostile ship was carrying military equipment, including mechanisms, devices and other equipment that are used in the aggression against the Yemeni people.
“For weeks, this Emirati ship has been under the monitoring of our forces, and it has carried out several hostile acts in Yemeni territorial waters,” he added. “After the careful monitoring of the ship’s activity, directives were issued to seize it within the legitimate defense of our country and people and transfer it to the Salif port.”
