Dhaifullah Al-Shami, Minister of Information in the National Salvation Government has on Monday denied the allegations of the US-Saudi aggression of using state institutions in the capital, Sana’a, for military purposes.
Al-Shami confirmed in a statement to Saba News Agency, that the allegations of the aggression are unfounded, but come within the framework of justification and preparation for its systematic targeting and destruction of service and vital facilities related to the lives of citizens, with the aim of doubling the suffering of the Yemeni people.
He held Saudi-led aggression forces responsible for the bombing of the State buildings and the consequent exacerbation of the suffering of the Yemeni people and their deprivation of necessary services.
Al-Shami condemned the international silence towards the US-Saudi-Emirati threats to target civilian facilities and institutions. In addition, the government spokesperson condemned the targeting of the main building of the Yemeni International Telecommunication Company “TeleYemen”, which led to the interruption of international telecommunication services.
He pointed out that the aggression’s destruction of the telecommunications sector aims to obscure its crimes against civilians, isolate the Yemeni people from the world and deprive them of telecommunications and Internet services guaranteed under international humanitarian law.
Al-Shami stressed that the telecommunications sector provides its services to citizens in various governorates of Yemen with all professionalism and impartiality and has nothing to do with any military activities, as the aggression coalition claims.
He pointed out that the warplanes repeatedly targeted civilian sectors, especially telecommunications, in contravention of all international and humanitarian laws and norms.
