US President Joe Biden continues the policy of his two predecessors of backing and selling arms to the Saudi-led aggression and has done little to secure an end to the war on Yemen, an American research group reported.

In an article by Bruce Riedel, a writer on security and strategy, the Brookings Institute for Peace said, “the Biden administration painted peace in Yemen as a top priority, but it has done little to secure an end to the fighting. It continues the policy of its two predecessors of backing and selling arms to the Saudis.”

The author considered that those he called the Houthis “won” the war, and said that they “defeated their opponents in the civil war, the Arab coalition forces and America.,”

He described this as “a wonderful achievement for a militia without an air force or a navy,” as he described it. He likened it to what he called Hezbollah’s “success story” in Lebanon.
