The head of the National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs announced a new prisoner swap deal that included 16 Saudi prisoners through the United Nations.
In a brief statement on Sunday evening, Abdulqadir al-Murtadha explained that on March 21, a new prisoner swap deal was agreed through the United Nations, involving 1,400 prisoners of the army and popular committees in exchange for the release of 823 troops from the Saudi-led coalition’s side.
The swap including 16 Saudi soldiers and three Sudanese mercenaries. Amongst the people planned to be released by Yemen are Nasser Mansour Hadi, brother of the Saudi-backed puppet president Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi, and formeer Minister of Defence Mahmoud al-Subaihi, whom both have been held as prisoners by the revolutionary government of Yemen since 2015.
