Deputy of Interior Minister Major General Abdulmajeed Al-Murtadha, commented on the security operation that thwarted the Saudi intelligence plan to detonate car bombs in the capital, Sana’a and a number of governorates, stressing that this crime will not go unpunished.
Major General Abdulmajeed Al-Murtadha said that those who run the criminal cell are individuals associated with the security services of the enemy who finance al-Qaeda and enable them to carry out official business. He stated that the work of the criminal cell is very terrible, and had it not been the efforts of the security services in addition to field work, a disaster would have occurred.
Major General Al-Murtada called on civilians to report any suspicious movements to destabilize the security and stability in the free governorates.
The security services revealed Tuesday the details of thwarting a plan by the Saudi intelligence service, which was targeting the security and safety of the capital, Sana’a. According to the “Saba” agency, the security services explained in a statement that the enemy had recruited a cell, equipped a number of car bombs, and sent them to the free governorates to kill innocents and disturb the public tranquility that citizens enjoy.
