Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (SCMCHA) Ebrahim al-Hamali on Sunday met with program director at the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) Khaldoun Salem.
In the meeting, al-Hamali confirmed that the service and development projects funded by the UNOPS in Yemen have a positive impact and worked to alleviate part of the suffering of the Yemeni people due to the aggression and siege.
He pointed to the need to pay attention to the implementation of projects in the areas of health, water, roads and improving public services as well as focus on projects that provide service to the Yemeni people in a sustainable manner.
In return, Salem valued the cooperation of the SCMCHA and its keenness to facilitate the office’s tasks, stressing the readiness to intervene in several sectors, especially in the services sector.
