The Saudi-led aggression has reached a dead end and a clear failure, the Leader of the Revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi said, noting that the whole world has realized such a fact.
“The Yemeni people have achieved great victories, and turned the challenges imposed by the aggression into opportunities for renaissance in all fields,” Sayyed Abdulmalik said in a televised speech broadcast from the Yemeni capital city of Sana’a on Monday evening.
Leading the regional military coalition, consisting of the UAE and some other Arab states, Riyadh waged the war on Yemen in March 2015 to bring back to power the former Yemeni regime.
The war, however, has stopped well short of all of its goals due to the Yemeni nation’s resistance, despite killing hundreds of thousands of civilians and turning the entire country into the scene of the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.
“While the aggressors have failed to achieve their goals and suffered failures in their bids against Yemen, our nation has recorded glorious victories. The [Saudi-led] aggression on Yemen was a sound reason for the Yemeni nation to exercise patience and carry on its struggle,” Sayyed Abdulmalik said.
The Leader recalled the events that happened throughout history, reviewing the Lebanese resistance Hezbollah experience. He said: “The Israeli enemy was trying to break the will of the mujahideen in Lebanon, and bring society to a state of despair in the possibility of victory in confronting it, but they continued their jihad, and were patient with all the suffering, and became stronger.”
“The Israeli enemy grew weaker, and was reaping more defeats, until it reached complete despair and withdrew, in a historic humiliating defeat, which was the first at that level, and a defeat that continued until now, a continuous defeat in the reality of the Israeli enemy,” he added.
He pointed out that “the enemy’s practice of crimes, atrocities and murder prompted the mujahideen in Lebanon to take more action until they forced the enemy to withdraw from Lebanon.”
The Leader stressed that what the enemy is trying to do is “to cause a complete collapse. But when he sees that what he is doing of his crimes, brutality, atrocities, violations, aggression and siege, a reverse reaction occurs, this will be of great importance, which will result in the despair of the enemy, and a feeling of failure, which eventually leads him to surrender.”
