Spokesman for the National Salvation Government – Minister of Information – Daifallah Al-Shami on Saturday said that the Saudi regime’s allowing a Zionist journalist to desecrate the Great Mosque of Mecca is a betrayal of Allah and Islamic sanctities.

“At a time the Saudi regime prevents millions from performing the Hajj, it is easy for the Jews to enter Mecca and the holy sites, and this is evidence that this regime is loyal to the Jews and seeks to implement their plans,” Al-Shami said in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba).

He stressed that “the Saudi regime does not have the right to administer the holy sites, as it is the property of Muslims and not the property of Al Saud.”

Al-Shami considered the entry of a Zionist journalist to Mecca, Arafat Mount, and other sacred sites as a provocation to the feelings of Muslims, which required action to confront the scheme of Al Saud and the Zionist entity targeting Mecca and the Sacred House.

He noted that the opening of the Kingdom’s airspace to the Zionist entity’s planes comes within the framework of the normalization steps between the Saudi regime and the occupation state.

The government spokesman called on the Islamic peoples and the nation’s scholars to take a real position against the Saudi regime and its plans against Islam and Muslims, and to demand that it lift its hand from Islamic sanctities.
