Ministry of Guidance, Hajj and Umrah Affairs has condemned the looting of pilgrims returning to the homeland after performing Hajj rituals in Al-Mahfad district, in the Abyan Governorate.
In a statement, the Ministry of Guidance denounced what the returning pilgrims suffered from the looting of their money, the looting of their belongings and intimidation by an armed gang in the Al-Mahfad area that intercepted the bus taking them to their areas.
It pointed out that these criminal acts are a blatant aggression that contradicts religious principles and values, humanitarian laws, customs and authentic Yemeni tribal ancestors.
The statement stated that the lives of travelers on the lines of the occupied governorates have become threatened and endangered due to the continuous acts of kidnapping, killing and looting by the mercenaries of the aggression, which claimed the lives of dozens of travelers over the previous years until today.
The Ministry of Guidance held the forces of aggression and mercenaries fully responsible for this. It called on the United Nations and human rights and humanitarian organizations to play their role in condemning the crimes of the forces of aggression and their terrorist militias as a result of the looting, intimidation and killing of travelers.
It praised the initiatives of the Leader of the Revolution, the President of the Supreme Political Council, the Salvation Government and the National Delegation to open roads unilaterally.
It called on the tribes, the free people of Abyan, and the men of Al-Mahfad, to work on controlling this gang that offends the Abyan tribe.
The Ministry of Guidance condemned the crime of the Saudi-mercenaries against civilians in Al-Rawda neighborhood in Taiz, which led to the deaths of citizens, including children, in conjunction with the UN-sponsored truce and during the presence of the deputy head of the United Nations mission in the governorate.
It pointed out that the mercenaries’ perpetration of these crimes confirms to the Yemeni people the ugliness of the project of the forces of aggression, their agenda and tools, and their continuation in killings and committing horrific crimes against the Yemeni people in light of the declared truce.
