The General institution for the Development and Production of Grain has inaugurated in Sanhan district of Sana’a province al-Sammad bank for the seeds of grain crops.
The bank is supervised by the Higher Agricultural and Fisheries Committee and in coordination with the local authority in the province.
During the inauguration, a member of the Shura Council Abdulqader al-Shawesh said that this project represents an incentive to encourage farmers to increase the production of grain crops in Wadi al-Ajbar area Qaa al-Habbab in Sanhan which is rich in water and agricultural wealth.
The opening of a bank for improved grain seeds was considered an embodiment of the aspirations and needs of farmers and a real translation in the way of supporting the agricultural revolution to achieve food security and reach self-sufficiency.
Al-Shawesh pointed out that the bank is one of the fruits aimed at facing the economic challenges that the country is going through to enhance steadfastness and societal cohesion and not to give in to the schemes and conspiracies of the forces of aggression aimed at starving the Yemeni people.
