During the meeting, Al-Bukhaiti valued the role played by the ICRC in the humanitarian aspects and alleviating the suffering incurred by society as a result of the continued aggression and siege imposed by the Saudi-led coalition on Yemen.
The governor reviewed the humanitarian challenges due to the increasing movement of displacement to Dhamar from a number of provinces and the consequent pressure on services in light of limited resources, scarcity of support and the interventions of organizations.
He stressed the readiness of the local authority to provide facilities for the implementation of the delegation’s activities in a way that contributes to reaching the targeted groups.
In turn, the ICRC’s official indicated the delegation’s keenness to continue cooperation with the local authority in Dhamar, which will contribute to alleviating the humanitarian impacts resulting from the events Yemeni people is experiencing, after the conclusion of his work in the sub-delegation in Sana’a.
