The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sanaa said that “what was issued by the so-called fugitive Rashad Al-Alimi about Al-Qaeda are extremely ridiculous, false and baseless”.
In a statement obtained by Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the Ministry stated that the whole world knows that the leaders of al-Qaeda have admitted in recorded videos published on their websites about the group’s relationship with the US-backed Saudi-led coalition forces their mercenaries.
“The whole world knows that those whom America claims to designate on the so-called terrorism lists are terrorist leaders impersonating brigade commanders, governors and political figures working for the Saudi-led coalition,” the statement read.
“The Ministry sent letters to all countries of the world, containing conclusive evidence and proof confirming that al-Qaeda and ISIS are an integral part of the coalition and key components,” the statement added.
