A young man was shot dead on Saturday in the port city of Aden, southern Yemen, by escorts of a commander in the so-called “Security Belt” militia of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC).
Media sources said that the young man, Anas Karim, died in a hospital in Aden city days after he got four shots by a security leader’s escorts in a market for selling Qat leaves.
The security leader refused to hand over his escorts involved in the killing of Anas.
This crime comes a week after a military commander’s escort killed a child riding a bicycle in the Sheikh Othman district in Aden.
