A Spanish newspaper revealed that Saudi ships docked in the Italian port of Genoa to carry war helicopters, such as the helicopters used by the Saudi Air Force since 2015 in its aggression against Yemen and through which war crimes were committed against innocent civilians.
The newspaper, “Publico”, that pictures obtained by the workers of loading and unloading from the Italian port of Genoa, show combat helicopters inside two ships that previously stopped in the Spanish ports of Cadiz and Sagunto in June 2021 and August of this year, while international law prohibits the transit of weapons if it could be used for war crimes such as those committed by Saudi Arabia in Yemen.
The Spanish newspaper described those images of shame, which the public was able to access, as there were Apache combat helicopters inside the ship obtained in the United States, and it was also revealed that there were 12 containers loaded with explosive materials.
