29 people killed in Sana’a traffic accidents in the past week

At least 275 people have been killed and injured as a result of traffic accidents in the capital Sana’a and the provinces for the past week.

Statistics issued by the General Traffic Department confirmed the death of 29 people and the injury of 246 others, of which 178 serious injuries, in 178 accidents.

The statistics indicated that the accidents caused material losses estimated at about 63 million and 600 thousand Yemeni riyals.

The Department attributed the causes of traffic accidents to excessive speed and negligence of drivers and pedestrians.
