The security media in the Yemeni Ministry of Interior in Sanaa revealed on Thursday the fake reports circulated on social media about the issue of the child, who was accused of “vampirism”.
Director of Security Media at the Ministry, Abdul Rahman Al-Munawar, indicated in a statement that all that was raised was just propaganda and malicious rumors by the Saudi-led coalition media and its tools in a miserable attempt to destabilize security and stability in the Sana’a-held areas.
Al-Munawar explained that the child, Nabila, is an orphan and suffering from a psychological condition, indicating that the child’s grandmother was summoned to the September 21 Police department in Shamlan area in Sana’a to file a case against those who defamed her granddaughter’s reputation and brought her to the Public Prosecution office.
He confirmed that Police arrested those who were accused of promoting and spreading rumors against the child, and legal measures were taken against them.
Al-Munawar pointed out that this statement came after it was raised in some misleading media outlets that the girl Nabila is a bloodsucker, which sparked fear and panic in the hearts of some families, by publishing a video clip on social media under the title of arresting a girl in Yemen who sucks the blood of dogs to death.
The statement called on all citizens to obtain their correct and truthful information and news from the official and security websites of the Ministry of Interior, so that the facts are clear without falsification.
