Security forces affiliated with the Islah Party launched a massive campaign of arrests and raids that targeted the western neighborhoods of the Government Complex area in Ma’rib Governorate.
The so-called “Special Security Forces” under the control of Islah carried out a massive campaign of arrests and raids in the western neighborhoods of the compound, and suddenly arrested a number of residents of those neighborhoods.
According to security sources in the province, this campaign comes in the context of fears of an “imminent coup” against the Islah Party in the province.
The sources also indicated that most of the detainees are from the governorates of Aden and Abyan, and some of them worked as conscripts in camps affiliated with the Southern Transitional Council during the past years.
