The Shura Council on Friday strongly condemned the Saudi army’s continued targeting of the border areas in Saada province with artillery shelling, which resulted in the death and injury of a number of citizens, including African immigrants.
The council said, in a statement, “These criminal acts express the extent of the hatred of the Saudi regime, which leads the aggression coalition against Yemen, and reveal the falsity of its claims about peace.”
The statement added that the Saudi regime is still persisting in its arrogance, and has not been well aware of Sanaa’s messages and its responsible handling of the truce to make way for efforts and endeavors to end the aggression and siege.
The Council warned “the Saudi-US aggression coalition” against the consequences of its continual disrespect to the right of the Yemeni people to live in peace.
In its statement, the Council deplored the shameful silence of the international community and the United Nations regarding the unjustified crimes and continuous violations committed by the aggression coalition against the Yemeni people.
