President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, on Monday briefed members of the Council, Speaker of the Parliament Speaker, and the Prime Minister, on the latest political developments and the results of the consultations with the Omani delegation that took place in Sana’a.
During the meeting, President Al-Mashat indicated that the consultations with the Omani delegation bore positive ideas related to the humanitarian file, foremost of which is the payment of salaries to all state employees from oil and gas revenues, the full opening of Sana’a airport and the port of Hodeidah, and the exchange of prisoners.
For their part, the conferees affirmed that the humanitarian file has a priority with all considerations, and it is the proper and correct entry point for moving to any other files.
They valued the commendable efforts made by the Sultanate of Oman and its keenness to push forward the peace process in Yemen.
They also confirmed the keenness of the Supreme Political Council and the Salvation Government on the success of the efforts aimed at achieving a comprehensive and just peace, and stability in the region in a way that serves international peace and security.
