Armed confrontations renewed in the city of Aden, southern Yemen.

Local sources said that violent clashes broke out between members of the Transitional Council and tribal gunmen from al-Sabiha in Ras Omran, north of the city.

The sources pointed out that the clashes came as a result of disputes for theft of lands belonging to Aden Airport, after the armed men of Al-Sabiha detained a number of engineers earlier this month, while they were carrying out a field survey of the airport site.

The clashes come in the context of the recent collapse of the security situation in the city of Aden, in light of the escalation of tensions between the coalition parties.
