Civil Defense Authority announced the explosion of a water dam in Al-Mahweet Governorate
The authority said, in urgent news on its Twitter page, that the Al-Aqabi dam exploded in the village of Beit Al-Hindi in the Hafash district of Al-Mahwit Governorate.
The authority said there are casualties and the rescue teams of the Civil Defense Authority moved to the site of the accident.
Al-Mahweet governorate witnessed a similar incident, with water flooding from the Helwan Dam in the Al-Rajm area, after huge amounts of torrential rain flowed into it as a result of the heavy rains.
