The convoy of the governor of Hadramout of the Emirates, Mabkhout bin Madi, was attacked in the center of the city of Mukalla, the center of the governorate.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that Ben Madi’s convoy was assaulted and pelted with stones and shoes by angry demonstrators in Gul Al-Shifa, in protest against the deterioration of various services.
Witnesses stated that the protesters blocked the road in front of Bin Madi’s convoy, and forced him to change course to another road.
Witnesses pointed out that Bin Madi’s guard opened fire to disperse the protesters, but they remained on the road despite the intense fire.
The protesters cut off most of the streets of the city of Mukalla, protesting the lack of gas and various basic services, including water and frequent power outages
