The Revolution Leader, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, said on Thursday that the stampede incident that took place last night in Sana’a confirms the need for serious action by the Yemeni people in the charitable field.
During his Ramadan lecture aired this night, Sayyed Abdul-Malik stressed the importance of paying zakat and paying attention to this aspect within the relief work that alleviates the suffering of the poor.
He urged senior merchants to coordinate with the General Authority for Zakat in large charitable activities because it is a concerned party with great experience in these tasks.
